Tabby Launches Comparison Shopping Tool for Consumers Across the Middle East

Tabby, the MENA-based shopping and financial services app, has launched ‘Tabby Shop’, a new ‘all-encompassing’ shopping tool showcasing over 500,000 products – aiming to help consumers compare deals across a seemingly ever-growing number of options.

The e-commerce space across the Middle East continues to grow rapidly. As a result, new shopping sites and apps are emerging on an almost daily basis – making it difficult to compare products and find the cheapest deals. The new Tabby Shop tool aims to solve some of the biggest problems for consumers caused by the overwhelming number of options.

Tabby’s newest offering takes the form of a virtual shopping assistant, helping shoppers in the Middle East discover, organise, and track the best products, brands and deals without having to switch between numerous different shopping apps and sites.

This new shopping tool aims to make navigating hundreds of thousands of products easier by enabling shoppers to sort and filter by colour, brand, price and material. Tabby Shop’s search capabilities are also supported with autosuggestions that learn the user’s taste over time to personalise their shopping experience.

Tabby’s BNPL

To support people with their finances, shoppers can find the best deals across thousands of brands with coupon codes and store-wide sales, including Tabby exclusives. They will also receive price drops and deal alerts on products they mark as favourites and be first in line to reap the benefits.

Tabby also offers buy now, pay later (BNPL) functionality – enabling shoppers to pay for their items in four separate monthly payments. The Shariah-compliant app explained that it regularly seeks legal and Islamic advice to adhere to Shariah principles in its core service.

Users will also get access to 24/7 chat support for orders, payments and returns from Tabby’s team. The app is currently available to shoppers in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

Hosam Arab, CEO and co-founder of Tabby, said: “We’re beyond excited to take the Tabby app to new heights and define a whole new era of shopping for the MENA region.

“For shoppers, discovering their favourite brands and products is easier than ever, while giving our retailers the opportunity to tell their story to the region’s most powerful shopping community.”

With over five million active customers choosing Tabby as their preferred way to shop, Tabby Shop hopes to become the new main channel for retailers to showcase their brands and products to a high-intent shopper base.
