Bahrain to Host Fintech Revolution Summit

Bahrain, a leading fintech hub in MENA, hosts the Fintech Revolution Summit this week with more than 750 fintech, banking, financial services and insurance experts taking part.

Organised by We TraiCon Events, Bahrain’s premier fintech event on 14 to 15 February 2024 in Manama will see fintech founders, central bank officials, FSI experts, regulators, policymakers, technologists, entrepreneurs, investors, academics, and media from around the world come together to learn, discuss, debate and network.

The Middle East’s fintech industry is on a rapid growth trajectory, outpacing other global regions. By 2026, the total assets of the global Islamic finance sector are forecasted to surge from $4trillion in 2021 to $5.9trillion.

Bahrain, benefiting from a strong financial system and robust regulatory framework, has seen a notable uptick in fintech solutions. Globally, it ranks fourth and second in the MENA region for Islamic finance development. Additionally, Bahrain leads in Islamic finance regulation, securing the top position.

Launched in 2008, Bahrain’s Economic vision 2030 sets out the Government’s plan to strengthen the Kingdom’s private sector, competitiveness, and to increase ‘fairness’ under the law and in access to services. Bahrain also aims to become a cashless society by 2030.

Numerous sponsors and exhibitors, including fintech and banking technology solution providers, cybersecurity firms, e-payment and wallet companies, threat management specialists, forex software developers, and payment gateway providers, will be partaking in the Fintech Revolution Summit.
